Hundreds of years ago a native woman had a vision.
She saw into the future.
There she saw pitch dark skies, the rain was black.
The lakes, streams, rivers and oceans were without fish.
The plains were without deer and buffalo.
The air around the world was without movement,
there we no birds. She saw people dying everywhere.
She saw the entire earth dying.

But then she saw a band of warriors carrying the Banner of the Rainbow.
She saw warriors of all colors, from all tribes and nations united
in a common goal of protection, dedication and respect for Mother Earth.
She saw the air being cleansed to restore life to all the trees and plants.
She saw through the dark skies to blue openings from which the birds returned.
She saw life being renewed in the waters.
She saw all the animals return.
She smiled, knowing that with the help of everyone...
Mother Earth shall endure.
