FORGOTTEN CHILD
*************************

Into the night into the dark,
fucked up kids, out for a lark.
Thinking not of who they kill,
they are lost, they have no will.

How do we stop and not ignore,
they're crying out, they're needing more.
The terrored souls we used to know,
into the night, they should not go.

Hookers, pimps and drugs galore,
they're crying out, they're needing more.
Empty shells that used to be,
a child once loved by you and me.

Forgotten kids, on the run,
they thought the street would be such fun.
And now they're finding out so fast,
good times they found, they did not last.

No where to turn forgotten child,
could not comprehend, now living wild.
A cardboard box is now your home,
cold dark streets is where you roam.

No school, no friends, a lonely face,
knowing you are out of place.
You're crying out, you're needing more,
reach out to me I won't ignore.

The terrored soul I used to know,
has seen the night, has lost its glow.
Come to me I will not judge you,
come home to me, for I still love you.
