INTROSPECTION
 *************

Here I am in cyber, lost and all alone
wishing I could find a place, to finally call my home
in this world of make believe, no body counts but ME
it doesn't matter what I do, no one will ever see.

who are we kidding? just kidding ourselves
we are lost and lonely people, sitting here all by ourselves
why are we all so lonely? why do we not care?
souls are lost and searching, what will we really find in there?

little plastic people, at little plastic desks
little plastic keyboards, little plastic mess
little plastic chatrooms, little plastic talk
little plastic bedrooms, little plastic fuck.

maybe we should all get out, and meet for real somewhere
maybe then we would all find out, that we do know how to care
nothing like the real world, to bring you back to earth
nothing like a broken heart, reminds you what you're worth.

nothing like a shattered dream, from those who run away
then change their names and go right back, and hurt again next day
with little plastic feelings, and lies they have to tell
not knowing who they're hurting, this cyber world is hell.

reach out beyond the plastic, reach out beyond the lies
reach out and touch each person, stop destroying sorry lives
understand the feelings, in this plastic world,
even though you can not touch them, they are lonely boys and girls.

if we do not improve the treatment; of each other in this place
too soon I fear we will become, a plastic human race.
Respect and love each other, even here in cyberspace
the one destroyed, may one day get to gaze upon your face.

and in this day of judgment, no plastic people will be found
only those who's hearts were broken, who's dreams were dashed upon the ground
bitter angry people, that is who you'll find
if all you do is lie and hurt, that's all you leave behind.
